Many thanks to Terrin Fuhrmann, who organized the largest blanket drive in our sanctuary history, and everyone else who has generously donated their blankets, sheets and sleeping bags this winter. We actually collect these items year round since we go through so many during the colder months.

Pictured below is our primate of the month, Cheetah, unfolding a fresh blanket that had been given to him by his caretaker, Libby. Learn more about Cheetah's life and see how to sponsor him here. Did you know that in the wild, chimpanzees will build arboreal nests made from leaves and intricately weaved branches? At the sanctuary, our chimpanzees construct daily nests using blankets, sheets, kraft paper, their favorite toys…and even an occasional hard hat!
