Well here is a perfect example of a project that not only was a blast for the chimpanzees, but a project you can do as an off site volunteer. From the creative network of neurons in Shelly Ladd's (our enrichment corrdinator) head, this Saturday was the official first Sock It To Ya - Saturday!

Starting with clean empty socks and a collection of toys, fruit and treats... empty socks become filled socks and the ends are tied off. Sock It To Ya Saturday now begins. This was a really simple and fun project.

The chimpanzees even wear the socks... on their hands but they do wear them, or build nests with them, but they thoroughly enjoyed them. SRTello
