Primarily Primates is a non-profit sanctuary in Bexar County, San Antonio that operates to house, protect, and rehabilitate various non-native animals. The sanctuary currently houses 400 animals, 42 chimpanzees and birds and, as the name implies, focuses primarily on caring for apes and monkeys. Many are cast-offs from the pet trade, entertainment and biomedical research facilities. Primarily Primates is always in need of supplies for its residents.
