Felix, who we believe to be less than one year old, was recently rescued by PPI when he was confiscated by City of San Antonio Animal Care Services. He was found in a diaper, loose in a neighborhood in the Northwest side of the city. He seems to have had an improper diet, as he was unfamiliar with chow or formula upon arrival. However, care staff members have been working with Felix around the clock and he is already eating and drinking better than when he arrived. Eventually, when he is older and stronger, he will be released from quarantine into an outdoor habitat and be introduced to other spider monkeys.
